State of Emergency Declared
Madison’s Mayor Bob Courtney, in coordination with Jefferson County, has declared a State of Emergency effective immediately. A travel advisory warning has also been issued, restricting travel to emergency personnel only.
Due to snowfall and hazardous road conditions, City Hall offices will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026. This closure includes the Transfer Station, Water Office, Brown Gym, and the Senior Center.
Trash collection will be delayed. An updated collection schedule for the week will be announced once road conditions are reassessed and crews become available.
