MADISON PARKS AND RECREATION LAUNCHES NEW PROGRAM AND MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION PLATFORM WITH REC
Madison, Indiana (April 15, 2025) – The City of Madison Parks and Recreation Department is thrilled to announce the official launch of its new registration platform, Rec, on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. This modern, user-friendly software will serve as the new home for all recreation program registrations, facility rentals, and memberships.
While summer camps and programming are already open on RecDesk, all future registrations will now be handled through Rec. On April 22 at 2 PM, registration for all aquatic programs—including swim lessons, water aerobics, and pool passes—will open at Madison-in.gov/rec.
Community members can prepare for registration by following these steps:
· Create Your Account – Visit www.rec.us and click “Sign Up” in the upper right-hand corner.
· Add Household Members – If you’re registering for family members, add them to your profile for a smoother checkout experience.
· Browse Programs & Memberships – Explore all current offerings at Madison-in.gov/rec.
If you’ve already registered for a program or purchased a membership through Redesk, you do not need to re-register. Simply create your new account on Rec, and our Parks and Recreation team will handle transferring all of your existing registrations.
“The City of Madison Parks and Recreation Department is excited to partner with Rec, an innovative and user-friendly software,” said Whitney Burdzilauskas Athletic Program Director. “Our goal is to clearly convey our programs and facilities to the community with a simple registration and checkout process. We are looking forward to all of the modern benefits and opportunities that Rec provides!”
Mayor Bob Courtney added, “Embracing new technology is a key part of making city services more accessible and efficient. By partnering with Rec, we’re simplifying the registration process and making it easier for our community to stay active, connected, and engaged with the programs they love.”
Facility rentals will be available through Rec soon, offering a streamlined way to reserve park shelters, gym spaces, and more.
