Clerk-Treasurer's Office
The office of the clerk-treasurer is chiefly responsible for working with the mayor and department heads to manage the $7 million budget of the City of Madison. Careful adherence to accepted record-keeping principles and judicious management of funds have earned the city an unprecedented three consecutive years award for "no-findings" by the Indiana State Board of Accounts auditors.

Staff & Duties
The office divides its many responsibilities between four full-time employees who manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, record-keeping, investing, and other financial functions required to run the day to day operations of the city.
