Applications for an absentee ballot may be obtained either by phoning (812) 265-8926 or by visiting the Clerk's office on the second floor of the Jefferson County Courthouse Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Where is City Hall and what are the office hours?

City Hall, 101 W. Main St., is located on the southwest corner of Main and West Streets in Madison's Historic District. There is on-street parking on Main and West, and limited visitor parking behind the City Hall on West Street.

Construction that costs over $500 needs a building permit. Permits are required for the following types of construction: additions, new buildings, decks, relocation of structures, site development and swimming pools.
