  2. Children's Winter Reading Program

    December 16, 2019, All Day @ Madison Public Library and Hanover Public Library

    All ages of children are welcome to participate in the library’s winter reading program! Pick up a card at any service desk. For each card completed, participants win a prize. All entries will be put into grand prize drawings for gift certificates to McWhiggins Wonder Emporium! Children may enter up to 9 cards through January 31st.

  3. Teen Winter Reading Program

    December 16, 2019, All Day @ Madison Public Library and Hanover Public Library

    Earn free Young Adult and Middle Grade books this winter! For every 5 hours you read, you earn a free book from our prize box. Also, your Reading log will double as a raffle ticket! Names will be drawn for gift cards throughout Winter Reading. Winter Reading for Teens is for ages 12-18.

  4. Charity Knitting: Kitty Blankets

    December 16, 2019, 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM @ Hanover Public Library

    Class recommended for students with a basic understanding of knitting or more advanced. Kitty Blankets will be donated to animal shelter. Materials to bring: Size 7 straight knitting needles and worsted weight yarn. Students may knit any stitch pattern or colorwork they desire for this project. Instructor Pam Sinsel.

  5. Kindness Craft: I Spy Jars

    Use everyday materials to make an awesome “I Spy” puzzle jar. Tip and tilt the jar to find all the hidden objects inside. We are making these to donate to local senior centers and group homes.   6. Drawing & Painting Class

    December 16, 2019, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Madison Public Library

    A comprehensive series of 10 classes on Mondays, covering method and technique, and focusing on a particular project each week. Each student will need to purchase materials for the class appropriate for either drawing or painting. See website for materials lists. Sponsored by Psi Iota Xi and Jefferson County Public Library.
