Police Department
Madison Police Department
The Madison Police Department employs 27 police officers, six civilian dispatchers, two secretaries, and an animal control officer. The department also fields bicycle patrols for civic events and conducts the D.A.R.E. program in local schools. Police protection and law enforcement are provided 24/7.

The radio room is a nest of activity, with dispatchers serving as 911 operators, and broadcasting weather and other emergency notification, as well as fielding routine calls to the department. The non-emergency number for the police department is 812-265-3347.
