Stellar Public Meeting Schedule Announced

The City of Madison is announcing the public meeting schedule for Stellar meetings happening in 2018. All meetings are open and the public is encouraged to attend. Meetings are split into Executive Team meetings and Advisory Team Meetings.

Executive Team Meetings will be held at 4:00PM in City Hall on the following dates:
March 14th, April 11th, May 9th, July 11th, August 8th, September 12th, November 14th, December 12th

Advisory Team Meetings will be held at the following dates and times at City Hall in 2018: Wednesday, February 14th at 5:00PM, Wednesday, June 6th at 5:00PM, Tuesday, October 2nd at 4:00PM

The Executive Team consists of a smaller group tasked with detailed planning, promotion, and execution of Stellar projects and initiatives, while the Advisory Team consists of the executive team and additional individuals that will help give advice, spread the word, and engage a larger part of the community through the Stellar projects and initiatives. A full list of Executive Team and Advisory Team members is available at and additional Stellar information will be posted as the projects move forward.

“We hope that everyone who is interested in advancing our projects will get involved by attending a meeting, signing up for the newsletter at, or just calling City Hall to find out how to help,” said Mayor Damon Welch.

Madison was awarded the Stellar Communities designation in October 2017 by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs. Stellar Communities is a multi-agency state partnership aimed at helping communities reach their goals.
