Permit Center
The Permit Center offers the application forms for permits directly related to buildings and structures. For permits for facility rentals or for use of park facilities visit the Madison Parks Department page found under the department's tab. Below are links to download permit applications for all of the types of permits issued by the Madison Planning, Preservation, and Design Department. These applications must be completed in full and be accompanied with any required supplementary information when submitted to our office.
Building Permit Information
If you are thinking of making additions, improvements or alterations to your home or property, a permit is required for most improvements, including but not limited to: new buildings, modular/mobile homes, swimming pools, decks/porches, kitchen and bath remodels, shed/storage buildings, garages, and electrical/plumbing upgrades.
