The Madison Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Patrol Officer. Applications can be picked up at the Madison Police Department, 621 West St. Madison, IN 47250, or downloaded HERE.
Salary for a patrol officer after one year is $52,297.30. Other benefits include take home car, shift pay, holiday pay, clothing allowance, paid overtime opportunities, cell phone stipend, and medical / dental benefits.
Applicants must be 21 years of age or will turn 21 years of age prior to the next scheduled Indiana Law Enforcement Academy class. The Indiana Public Employees Retirement Fund (PERF) requires that applicants be 36 years of age or younger for eligibility.
Physical ability testing will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at the Madison Consolidated Jr. High School. Physical testing requirements are the current ILEA graduation standards.
